How to check a company brief

From a domain to useful account notes

  1. 01

    Start with the domain

Use the exact business domain. A parent company, subsidiary and product site can describe different subjects. Check the returned identity before using the facts.

  2. 02

    Review the request, then run

The preview shows the input before you send it to the data provider. Approve one lookup, then inspect the available fields and the receipt.

  3. 03

Keep the useful facts and questions

Copy the brief or download Markdown and JSON. Retain the provider labels and missing fields when adding it to your account notes.

Before the call

Use the brief to choose a better question

A company profile helps you orient yourself. The useful next step is deciding which fact could change the conversation, then checking that fact against a source or with the person you speak to.

For a partnership review, confirm that the record describes the right business. For account research, separate the company’s offer from your hypothesis about its needs. Neither task requires filling every empty field.

When the business description is available

Use it to frame what the company appears to offer. Open the company’s own product pages before making a claim about a specific capability.

When company size is estimated

Keep the estimate label. Ask about the team or workflow relevant to your offer rather than presenting a headcount as verified.

When a useful detail is missing

Turn it into a question. Missing integration, budget or revenue data is not evidence that the company lacks it.

One provider record, with its limits

The brief is assembled from one returned company record. Attribution shows where the data came from; it does not mean that each field has been independently checked. Retrieval time is not the provider’s last-updated time. Contacts, revenue and buying intent are not verified by this tool.

Before you run

Choose the tool when its coverage matches the question you need to answer.

What does the company research tool return?

One company record from the provider, presented as a readable brief. Depending on coverage, this can include a name, domain, description, industry, location and estimated company size. The brief keeps missing fields visible and suggests questions to investigate.

Are the company facts independently verified?

No. A matching domain helps you check the intended subject; it does not independently verify the record. Employee counts are provider estimates. The retrieval timestamp records when we received the response, not when the provider last updated each field. Open relevant primary sources before relying on a consequential claim.

Can I find verified contacts, revenue or buying intent?

This tool does not verify contacts, revenue or buying intent. It is a starting point for account research. A missing commercial fact belongs in your questions or follow-up research, not in the brief as a guessed value.

Is there a free company research preview?

The current pilot requires no wallet or payment. You preview and approve each run. Daily and shared pilot limits apply, and provider availability or missing coverage can prevent a result.
