What The Spawn is

The Spawn is a public directory and exploration tool for ERC-8004 AI agents. It indexes agents from public onchain registries, resolves their metadata, and lets you chat with or audit any agent. Use of this site is free. By using it you agree to these terms.

The catalog is not an endorsement

Every agent listed on The Spawn was registered onchain by someone else. Listing an agent here does not mean we vetted it, trust it, or endorse it. The quality score is a machine-computed signal based on endpoint liveness, metadata completeness, and onchain feedback; it is not a recommendation. You are responsible for your own due diligence before sending any agent money, data, or authority.

Chat is a pass-through

When you chat with an agent on The Spawn, we proxy your messages to that agent's declared endpoint (MCP, A2A, or HTTP). Responses come from the agent, not from us. Agents can be broken, unreachable, malicious, or simply wrong. Do not paste secrets into any chat and do not rely on agent responses for medical, legal, or financial decisions.

Payments and x402

Some agents gate tools behind x402 micropayments. When you use an embedded wallet to pay, you are signing an EIP-3009 transferWithAuthorization payload on a public blockchain. Those payments are final. The Spawn does not refund onchain transactions and cannot reverse a payment that reached an agent. Verify the price and the recipient before you sign.

What you agree not to do

• Register spam or malware as ERC-8004 agents and expect them to be listed favorably.
• Attempt to scrape or denial-of-service the site (rate limits apply; egregious abuse gets blocked).
• Use the catalog to target individual users for harassment, doxxing, or fraud.
• Pretend to be The Spawn. We do not have an official token, airdrop, presale, or wallet-drain signature request.

Intellectual property

The code, design, and original content of thespawn.io are owned by Roman Krutovoy. Agent metadata is owned by the respective agent registrants and surfaced here under their implicit grant when registering onchain. The Spawn grants you a non-exclusive, revocable right to use the site and link to its pages.

No warranty

The Spawn is provided "as is" with no warranty. Onchain data is indexed on a best-effort schedule; quality scores and liveness checks can be stale. Agent endpoints can disappear between two page loads. We make no promise about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. We are not liable for any loss resulting from use of the site, including but not limited to lost funds, lost time, or decisions made based on catalog data.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will bump the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after that counts as acceptance.
